About us

Tara Koslov

I am a recently retired federal executive and attorney, and an experienced coach. During my final years of federal service I completed the rigorous Federal Internal Coach Training Program, and I regularly coached leaders and aspiring leaders throughout the federal government. Since retirement I have been coaching privately. I have earned the Associate Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation.

I am proud to have built and sustained a successful legal and executive career, and my coaching style reflects many years of tackling myriad management and leadership challenges. But I coach people, not problems. Just as each flower in the garden follows its own growth journey, each human must identify and live by her own specific, nuanced, highly personal values and goals. When I partner with my coaching clients, I am guided by kindness, empathy, and careful attention to language. I help clients get unstuck and make progress, whatever that means to them.

My favorite job has always been mothering two now-adult daughters. I have long been a caregiver in every sense, and I only recently emerged from the trenches of (so-called) work-life balance (career, kids, parents, hobbies, you name it). I understand both younger professionals and the people who supervise them.
